Eating Oxford
Sustainable South: Mississippi Milk
This weekend’s symposium attendees enjoyed Mississippi farm-raised catfish, impeccable service from Oxford’s City Grocery Group and the award-winning cocktail wizard Jayce McConnell, and a lively meal at the famed Taylor Grocery. What our guests didn’t have? Mississippi Milk.
Not only is the entire SFA staff and North Mississippi lucky to have Brown Family Dairy’s milk, we are proud of it. Produced by a Barefoot Workshop in Clarksdale this summer, Mississippi Milk tells the story about the Browns hard work to make fresh, local milk available to the surrounding community.
Our Greenhouse Films initiative supports burgeoning filmmakers. So does Barefoot Workshops. In the spirit of camaraderie, we are pleased to be able to share this short documentary with the SFA readership.
