EatingOxford: Soul Fish Cafe Coming to Oxford

The popular Memphis restaurant Soul Fish Cafe just signed a deal to open a 4,106 square foot location at South Lamar Court, the new development being built across from the new Baptist Memorial Hospital, according to Frank Dyer, III, a realtor with Memphis-based Loeb Realty Group.
“It will be Soul Fish Cafe’s first store in Mississippi; they currently have three in Memphis and one in Little Rock, Arkansas,” said Dyer. “The Oxford location will be a premiere endcap space with a patio.”

Tiger Bryant, who owns Soul Fish Cafe along with Raymond Williams, said that he was excited about expanding to Oxford. “I have family and friends in Oxford and my wife went to Ole Miss,” Bryant said.
Soul Fish Cafe presents a new take on the traditional meat and three, according to Bryant. “Catfish is the king of the menu, but we also offer fresh vegetables, salads and other types of fish,” he said.
A quick look through the online menu at soulfishcafe.com shows menu items such as catfish nuggets; smoked chicken salad; cucumber salad; fried crawfish tacos; pickled green tomatoes; pork tenderloin po-boy; whole catfish; rainbow trout; blackened salmon; caramel pecan pie and more.
Bryant is projecting an opening date sometime after the first of the year.
