EatingOxford: Attention Oxford Bakers!
When was the last time you got to hang out with a bunch of bakers and swap recipes and equipment? Now’s your chance!
Mugg Cakes is hosting its first Baker’s Swap this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. inside its store at 68 CR 334 and you won’t want to miss it!
Take advantage of this unique chance to spring clean your baking cupboards and trade out that gingerbread man pan for an Easter bunny pan.
“The Baker’s Swap is a free event where the bakers of Oxford can bring their baked goods to sell or bring some of their new or gently used baking equipment to sell, swap, trade, barter or buy,” said Mugg Cakes owner Karrian Brown.
Brown said to expect fresh baked goods to purchase and a raffle drawing every hour for free baked goods.
“Bring your neighbors, friends and the whole family,” she said. “We’ll also have baked goods available from 7D Farm and a few other surprise baking guests.”
The Baker’s Swap is just one event of many that the owners of Mugg Cakes have created to help promote consistent community inclusion. The shop’s Friday night open mic poetry reading event, Poetreats, has already been gaining a following with locals.
