Eating Oxford
Yocona River Inn
Situated several miles outside Oxford in the Yocona community, a visit to the Yocona River Inn was a tradition for many on football weekends, where it paid to get there early on a Friday night because reservations weren’t accepted. Known for its tasty Yocona filet, the restaurant allowed diners to brown-bag it as they ordered from a menu that features steaks and seafood. The fact that the menu could change from week to week never slowed down the full house weekend crowd.
