Eating Oxford
Salad Days, Part 1: Keep Your Shrimp Hand Strong

In an effort to eat better (i.e., not constantly cram mayo-laden bacon cheeseburgers and fries down the hatch at every opportunity), I’ve tried to actually order a salad periodically. This is no small feat. Luckily, Oxford restaurants have some appetizing options.
Today, my shrimp sense was tingling at Proud Larrys’. Their Shrimp Salad features lemon-garlic sauteed shrimp on mixed greens tossed in housemade lemon-red wine vinaigrette with roma tomatoes, hearts of palm, red bell peppers, red onions, and feta.
Sublime flavors work in concert deftly in this leafy masterpiece. Just the right level of zesty goodness. And I don’t need a nap now.
