Oxford Restaurants Invite All to Dine on New Year's Eve
New Year’s Eve is a day of gathering and remembering the year as it goes at a chime past midnight. For us Rebels the Peach Bowl game that day could be a bittersweet wrap up of the roller coaster football year. Some Oxonian restaurants are opening their doors to all.
City Grocery and Snackbar
Watch this video interview with Chef John Currence as he explains the menu for New Year’s Eve dinner.
Currence said it will be his 23rd year doing New Year’s Eve dinners since 1992. He emphasized that the short menus will be used so people can have a good dinner and be able to leave to ring in the New Year’s with their family and friends. The dining will begin at 6 p.m.
The menus are as posted:
Honeybee Bakery
The NYE dinner will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The price for the pre-fixed menu is $65 per person, and reservations can be called in to Honeybee Bakery at (662) 236-2491. The dishes will be prepared ahead of time and customers can bring in champagne or any fun drinks to dine with.
“Our menu will be essentially the same as our regular menu as in we have the same fresh ingredients,” said Shannon Adams, co-founder of the cafe.
