Eating Oxford: Free Hot Chocolate This Sunday
Cabin 82, inside the Graduate Hotel Oxford at 400 N. Lamar Boulevard is celebrating National Hot Cocoa Day this Sunday, December 13, by giving away free 12-ounce hot chocolates to all guests who bring in a non-perishable food item to donate to Oxford Lovepacks.
“As part of our Graduate Gives campaign we’ll be donating all of the non-perishable food items we receive on Sunday to Oxford Lovepacks,” says Graduate Oxford’s chef de cuisine Jon Davis. “We’ll be running the promotion all day from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.”
Oxford Lovepacks serves all of Oxford/Lafayette’s schools, distributing 160 supplemental packages of food every Friday to children in need. The packs supply kid-friendly food, so if you’re looking for ideas for Sunday, think along the lines of peanut butter crackers; pop-top ravioli; granola; pudding; peanut butter; and soup.
