Doors of Hope ‘Summer Bounty’ Program This Saturday, Already Sold Out
For some people down on their luck, all it takes is a little bit of hope to get them back on their feet again.
That’s why Doors of Hope Transition Ministries is hosting its third annual “Summer Bounty” program Saturday beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Powerhouse in Oxford. The event currently sold out, but potential guests may join a waiting list by calling (901) 413-7457.

This unique shot of Rowan Oak by Ed Croom will be auctioned at the Summer Bounty program on August 15.
The annual program raises funds to support the ministries’ various initiatives, which include rent-free shelter for four to six months to those who need temporary help to regain their self-sufficiency.
Doors of Hope Transition Ministries also provides employment assistance and financial, nutritional and educational counseling to clients facing homelessness or near-homelessness.
The program will feature lunch prepared by Oxford premier chef Kelly English and live and silent auctions on a collection of treasures only found in Oxford.
“Summer Bounty sponsors and donors have stepped up this year to make this third annual event bigger than ever,” said Doors of Hope Board Member Brenda West.
Auction items include original art, photographs and pottery pieces by local artists well as three vacation destinations, a football weekend in a cottage near the Square, numerous Oxford dining opportunities and much more.
