Rebels in NFL: When former Ole Miss players suit in playoffs
Seven former Ole Miss players are still competing in the NFL playoffs as the divisional round begins. See the full schedule and stats.
Seven Ole Miss alumni remain alive in the NFL playoffs as the No. 1 seeds get back in action for the divisional round.
Saturday will see most of the Rebels hit the field. A pair of tight ends will go head-to-head when Dawson Knox and the Bills take on Evan Engram and the Broncos.
In other Rebels in NFL news, former Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart reportedly has a new head coach. The New York Giants are working to close a deal with John Harbaugh, the longtime Ravens’ coach who was fired last week.
Harbaugh was the best coaching candidate available and his time in Baltimore ended much in the same way Andy Reid’s long tenure in Philadelphia came to an end. Both sides needed to start over in a new place or with a new coach.
That worked out pretty well for Reid (winner of 3 of last 6 Super Bowls) and the Eagles (two Super Bowl wins, three appearances). Maybe the same will happen for Harbaugh, Dart and the Giants.
However, there’s still this year’s playoffs to get through before the Giants get their chance. Here’s when you can see former Ole Miss players in NFL Divisional playoff games.
