Pizza Pinwheels
There are many variations of this recipe, but this one is a classic. Think about what you like on a pizza, and add it. Try pesto instead of, or in addition to pizza sauce for a different flavor.
1 package prepared pizza crust
1 8-ounce container whipped cream cheese
¼ cup pizza sauce
Pepperoni, cut into quarters
Mozzarella cheese, shredded
Italian seasoning
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Roll pizza crust out on large, flat surface. Spread whipped cream cheese to the edges of the crust. Do the same with pizza sauce. Sprinkle pepperoni on top. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and Italian seasoning. Roll into a log. Wrap logs in Saran wrap and let chill in refrigerator for about an hour. Remove from refrigerator and slice into ½-inch pieces. Lay each piece at least 2 inches apart on a nonstick baking sheet. Sprinkle more Mozzarella cheese and Italian seasoning on top of each piece. Bake about 20 minutes, until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted.
