The Oxford-Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday for Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina, located in the Highland Square Shopping Center on Jackson Avenue in Oxford.
Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday to celebrate the grand opening of the franchise’s third Mississippi location on Jackson Avenue in Oxford.

Hosted by the Oxford-Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce, the ribbon-cutting ceremony drew local leaders and business owners, as well as out-of-town dignitaries together celebrate the third installment of a five-year development plan for the franchise.
“Our development plan is a 10-store deal in five years, and we’re really excited to be here in Oxford,” said J.C. Clark of the Mississippi Franchise Development. The Oxford location joins Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina restaurants in Southaven and Starkville, both of which have opened within the last year.
Offering a fast-casual environment, Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina offers Mexican favorites such as tacos, burritos, nachos and house-made salsas. The Oxford location began serving customers last week.
