Salad Days, Part 5: The Refreshing Soulshine Caesar

Whoa, I have certainly strayed off course.
Earlier this year, I embarked upon a quest for good salads in town, to try to improve my eating habits. I checked out Proud Larry’s Shrimp Salad, the Ajax Salad and Pop’s Shrimp Salad at Ajax Diner, and a salad at Oxford Canteen. Since then, I have fallen off the lettuce wagon, partaking of any indulgent foods to come across my transom. In an effort to right this ship, I slipped into Soulshine Pizza Factory and somehow avoided the pizza.
I went with a simple Caesar salad of fresh romaine lettuce, croutons, parmesan cheese, and, of course, Caesar dressing, with grilled chicken added. I would venture a guess the recipe calls for a “buttload” of chicken, which, as it turns out, is my daily, doctor-recommended requirement. Other than the lack of boiled eggs, the Soulshine Caesar was a pleasant, refreshing lunch, especially when accompanied by a Yazoo Hefeweizen.
Okay, so am I healthy yet?
